Academic
No work in any field will be complete without deep investments on the knowledge part of the domain. Knowledge forms the backbone of any delivery system and we at the Foundation take it upon ourselves to bridge any gap that may be in the Geriatric care delivery systems
In our country, unfortunately there is a huge gap between the critical mass requirement of skilled resources and the current incumbency in the domain. The lack of skilled personnel is across the board – right from Specialist Geriatric Physicians to basic bedside assistants
It is our endeavour to work on bridging the shortfall through various academic programs. Few of the programs are listed below:
- Medical Conferences
- Seminars & Symposiums (Continued Medical Education (CME))
- Skill development training programs
The Foundation envisages to develop specialized delivery modules in each of the existing healthcare and general care deliveries as below:
- Geriatric Dentistry
- Geriatric Physiotherapy
- Geriatric Yoga
- Geriatric Fitness Trainer
Our goal is to create skill sets to meet out the ever expanding requirements of the Geriatric Domain both in Geriatric & Gerontology
Research & Development
Research & Development should be part and parcel of any organization especially with regards to healthcare. Research gives a deeper insight into the issues through which probable solutions and better alternatives are derived. There is an inevitable need for research & development in the field of geriatrics so as to make healthy aging not just another concept but a reality. The Foundation is on quest to find the various challenges faced by the elders as they age and develop workable solutions.
Any healthcare initiative by the Foundation is backed up by intense research, thereby developing a manual, template and protocol which are given to the stakeholders for execution.
We are on a continuous process of data collection and creating innovating concepts that will set the standards of quality living for the elderly.
Few of our Research projects:
- Alzheimer’s Disease
- Parkinson’s Disease
- Fall prevention
- Geriatric Counselling
