Call For Nomination
Dr. V. S. Natarajan Geriatric Foundation:
Dr. V. S. Natarajan Geriatric Foundation is the culmination of four decades of dedicated Geriatric services by Senior Geriatrician and Padma Shri awardee Dr. V. S. Natarajan. Being the only ‘socio-medical’ organization in this service, the Foundation approaches the cause of Elders Welfare in a holistic manner to achieve the vision of HAPPY ELDERHOOD and create a large pool of skills and services for Elderly Care. The Foundation involves itself extensively in the Skill Development, Home Healthcare and Community Development services.
The Foundation also seeks to set standards and protocols for the Elder Care services both in the Geriatric and Gerontology services. To achieve these intricate goals, the Foundation assumes the role of an aggregator which actively mentors, partners and handholds all those who seek to serve the Elderly Community through its functional motto of encourage -support -achieve
Dr. V. S. Natarajan Geriatric Foundation strives to provide holistic, affordable, accessible and sustainable solutions for Elderly Care. Geriatric care in India is growing at a tremendous pace owing to the rapid increase in the ageing population. However, there is still a shortage of quality services and infrastructure across the geographies. The Indian Geriatric service sorely lags behind the world averages, in key resources such as skilled manpower and infrastructure compared to the developed world. It is therefore imperative to recognise and encourage those who contribute to the growth of the Geriatric care service.
